New and older works by Tore Bjørn Skjølsvik

The sculpture Walking Man / The Caretaker that stands in Trondheim Art Museum is one of many painted bronze and plaster sculptures by Tore Bjørn Skjølsvik from an earlier period in the 80s / 90s. Through the pandemic, Skjølsvik has resumed the technique of painting on bronze and plaster. During the lockdown, the artist has also worked on larger formats and painted several famous personalities in full figure in 1: 1 format. In these last two years - which have been so affected by the pandemic, Skjølsvik has adopted a cleaner and more vital color palette. The exhibition, which opened on 23 September, offers several of his works from 2020 and 2021, both sculpture and painting, as well as several of his older works.
