WHAT’S ON AT TBS GALLERY
In recent years, Turid Gyllenhammar has concentrated her work on sculpture, and is currently carrying out the project "Nuova Vita", which she is working on at Studio Sem in Italy and Nøtterøy in Norway. With this project, Turid wants to shed light on girls' need for protection in the world today.
Soon, the public will finally have the opportunity to become more acquainted with this well-kept secret called Anne Tone Thorshaug. The exhibition Anne Tone Thorshaug and the secret art school opens on 11 September. The exhibition also presents a selection of works of art by other artists associated with Schønfeldt and his work. A company that, for better or worse, has until now been an almost unknown chapter in Norwegian art history.
Written by Odd Nerdrum. Like an Ebenezer Scrooge, the national romantic moral philosopher Immanuel Kant is confronted with the sins of the past, when the Vermeer forger, Han Van Meegeren, appears in his room in the middle of the night in the form of a ghost.
Through three entertaining and educational double lessons at the TBS Gallery in Oslo, the art historian, public enlightenment and author Tommy Sørbø takes us on a journey into European art and cultural history from antiquity to today.
"Europe's Art and Cultural History on 1-2-3" works just as well for beginners as for advanced and is an offering for those who want to refresh art history.
"What is important in painting is not what we visually see but rather the memories we retain when we enter into dialogue with an art work that we encounter." KIZITO
Memories is a form-rich and colorful collection of stories told to the canvases of Kizito Maria Kasule, born 1962.
Through his work, Kasule has gained a significant voice both inside and outside Uganda's art community. He is as much a philanthropist, social entrepreneur and community activist as he is an artist.
August 16 and 17: VITSEN WITH THE ART - is a tragicomic standup / edutainment show about art and artists by and with Tommy Sørbø.
