ART, SHAME, HOMOPHILY AND A GOOD DOSE OF LOVE

Like an Ebenezer Scrooge, the national romantic moral philosopher Immanuel Kant is confronted with the sins of the past, when the Vermeer forger, Han Van Meegeren, appears in his room in the middle of the night in the form of a ghost.

Kant suddenly finds himself in an unavoidable situation where he will have to make a judgment on an erroneous interpretation of "art" and his forbidden, homoerotic longings, which speak against his contemporaries, philosophy and Christian view of life.

This is a piece that covers the relevant themes today and that breaks with the philosophy elite's view of Immanuel Kant. An inner conflict between the bourgeois, Christian view of life and the more primary, human impulses is a major topic that follows the entire play from start to finish.
